Max Böhler and Ferdinand Weber founded in 1945, after the end of World War II. They produced at first out of army goods various everyday items which were urgently needed after the war. As a supplier for various cleaning companies the idea arose of developing and building there own cleaning machines. 1950 presented Böhler and Weber the first chemical cleaning machine for textiles.

A story of success began and until today BÖWE delivers high quality machines to the customers which benefit from more than 65 years experience. Innovative ideas and continously development made BÖWE famous all around the world.

In 2010 the company was taken over by Ziermann Holding GmbH and moved from Augsburg to the Black Forest. Until today BÖWE produces high quality PERC and MultiSolvent dry cleaning machines to customers from all around the world.
